Procurement

Tell us what you need to do, and we will recommend what to buy.

The right equipment works with what you already run, comes at the right price and is still supported in four years. Choosing it takes knowledge of your environment.

How an order runs

From a business need to a device on a desk.

Because we support the environment, we already know what fits. The recommendation accounts for compatibility, warranty, security and what happens when the device needs replacing.

  1. 01

    The requirement

You tell us what the person needs to do. We check it against the standards already in place across your environment and work out what fits.

  2. 02

    The recommendation

Two or three options, each with availability, total cost, compatibility notes and an end-of-support date, plus our reasoning so you can challenge it.

  3. 03

    Approval

You approve the option and the spend. We do not order anything before that, and the order matches the quote you approved.

  4. 04

    Order and stage

We order and, where you want it, configure and stage the device before it ships so it arrives ready for the person using it.

  5. 05

    Deploy and record

We deliver and deploy the device, and record it against your environment with its warranty term and replacement date.

The lifecycle

What a purchase commits you to.

A loop showing a need, a recommendation, ordering and staging, running the device under managed services, the warranty ending under renewals, and replacement returning to the start.
A device is typically in service for four years, and three of our services look after it in that time. That is why we discuss replacement before the device fails.
  1. Bought against a support lifeThe recommendation weighs what happens in year four alongside what the device costs today.
  2. Handed to managed servicesAfter deployment, we patch, monitor and support it with the rest of your environment.
  3. Tracked by renewalsWe record the warranty date on arrival and set the renewal reminder at the same time.
  4. Replacement starts the loop againWe plan and budget the replacement well before the device fails.
