Database Services

Database support for the systems your business runs on.

Through our partnership with DataWyse, we keep the databases behind your business systems monitored, recoverable and performing well.

The offer

Database specialists behind our support team.

A slow database is rarely reported as a database problem. It arrives as a slow application, a report that times out, or a process that used to finish before lunch.

Database work needs a specialist, so we deliver it with DataWyse. Their senior Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle consultants work alongside our team. You deal with IT Logic, and their specialists work behind us.

Which level fits your team?

All three levels include the same monitoring. Foundation suits internal teams that want oversight, Advanced suits teams that want day-to-day help, and Premium suits businesses with no database capability of their own.

Under the service

What the monitoring watches.

SQL Server or Oracle databases monitored for availability, performance, growth and capacity, backups and recoverability, and security and patch level, feeding 24x7 monitoring and alerting, then DataWyse specialists and the IT Logic support team, then a monthly health report and review.
We report on health, growth and performance on a schedule, so a database problem shows up as a trend in a report before it causes an outage.

Questions

Questions about database services.

Which databases do you support?

Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Where a line-of-business application ships its own database, we work with the application vendor.

We have our own DBA. Is this still useful?

That is what the Foundation level is for. You keep hands-on management and your own intellectual property, and we add specialist monitoring.

Can you help us move a database to Azure?

Yes. Pre-migration review and cloud migration support are part of the professional services, and we do the platform work alongside it.
